Supporting the longest beltway in the United States

The Grand Parkway (State Highway 99) forms a 184-mile loop encircling the greater Houston metropolitan area. The completed corridor has helped relieve congestion in some of the region’s fastest growing communities while providing critical hurricane and emergency evacuation routes. The Grand Parkway represents a significant investment in the regions' long-term transportation infrastructure.

A project of epic scope

The Grand Parkway is divided into 11 segments, designated A through I-2, spanning seven counties and forming a connected loop that delivers significant mobility benefits.

Supporting project funding

We conducted a traffic and revenue study for TxDOT that enabled funding for the Grand Parkway segments D through G, supporting nearly $2.9 billion in toll revenue bonds.

Reducing risk through early planning

We delivered environmental and preliminary engineering services for segments H through I-1, using a GIS based analysis tool, travel modeling and impact assessments to support planning efforts.

Assessing toll demand and risk

We analyzed traffic patterns, toll sensitivity and revenue risk for Grand Parkway segments using advanced data collection and a Monte-Carlo risk analysis simulation.

The Grand Parkway is the longest beltway in the United States and adds roadway capacity to support the future population and employment growth. As Houston’s third outer loop, it helps reduce traffic congestion by giving drivers an alternative to downtown routes and improves regional connectivity through the area.
