CDM Smith Donates to House of Ruth and Texas Flood Relief Efforts through Employee Wellness Program
BOSTON – CDM Smith donated $55,000 to four charities as part of the firm’s Employee Wellness Program and commitment to giving back. A $25,000 donation was made to House of Ruth, and three $10,000 donations were made respectively to Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country – Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, Team Rubicon and Texas Search and Rescue.

House of Ruth
House of Ruth provides services to women, children and families in the Washington, D.C. area who have experienced houselessness and abuse. This includes housing services to single women and families, free counseling services for anyone who has experienced domestic violence and a free trauma-informed child and family development center which provides young children with high-quality education and stability. CDM Smith’s $25,000 donation will help House of Ruth continue to focus on the long-term success of program participants.
Community foundation of the texas hill country - kerr county flood relief fund
The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country – Kerr County Flood Relief Fund supports urgent relief and long-term rebuilding after devastating floods occurred in the community in July 2025. Year-round, the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country distributes donations to vetted local organizations, such as Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, to provide rescue, relief and recovery services as well as flood assistance. CDM Smith’s $10,000 donation will help the Fund make a meaningful difference during this challenging time, ensuring help reaches the families and communities who need it most.

Team rubicon
Team Rubicon is a veteran-led humanitarian organization that serves global communities before, during and after disasters and crises. Following the Texas floods in July 2025, more than 60 Team Rubicon volunteers provided disaster relief by clearing access to homes, coordinating with other organizations to run a Volunteer Reception Center, and supporting information sharing for the broader response and recovery effort. With a $10,000 donation from CDM Smith, the organization can continue in their mission to support humanity and build resilience for vulnerable communities across the world.
texas search and rescue
Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR) is powered by volunteer first responders performing search and rescue for citizens in Texas when deployed at the request of law enforcement. The nonprofit organization provides specialized services including ground and flood search and rescue, disaster relief services and aerial search. TEXSAR’s services are free to requesting agencies, and with CDM Smith’s donation of $10,000, their trained professional volunteers will continue with their important work, deploying 30-50 volunteers and K9s daily.
CDM Smith’s Wellness Program rewards employees and their dependents for healthy behaviors and accomplishments with the goal of a more vibrant, engaged and resilient workforce. Participants earn wellness points that the firm converts into dollars to donate to charities chosen by CDM Smith’s Executive Leadership Team and by employee vote. Since the Wellness Program began in 2017, employee participation has resulted in more than $1.5 million in charitable donations.
