Selecting and applying geothermal and thermal energy networks

Watch this episode and earn a PDH:

Geothermal technologies and thermal energy networks can be cost-effective, environmentally conscious heating and cooling solutions for buildings and facilities. Geothermal technologies tap into the nearly limitless natural supply of thermal energy in the ground that is available year-round, regardless of weather conditions. And they can be used in both private-sector and public-sector settings. Thermal energy networks connect not only geothermal resources together, but can also incorporate independent sources of heat/energy recovery.

Upon completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Understand geothermal energy and the available approaches at a high level

  • Identify the use cases for geothermal energy

  • Understand client case studies for the real world application of geothermal energy
