Previously, Dr. Oehmig managed significant water treatment projects, including the filter rehabilitation and automation at the 215 MGD Alexander Orr water treatment plant (WTP) for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department in Florida. He also oversaw the design of pretreatment overhaul and 4 MGD granular activated carbon treatment at the 12 MGD Hillgrove WTP for the city of Concord, North Carolina. Additionally, he led the design of advanced oxidation with ozone and peroxide at the 32 MGD R.B. Simms WTP for Spartanburg Water in South Carolina.

Dr. Oehmig has a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree and a PhD in Environmental Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida. He is a registered PE in Florida, Colorado, and North Carolina. He is also a chair of the Region VIII Florida Section AWWA representing East Central Florida.
