CDM Smith Wins Fourth Consecutive FEMA HMTAP Award
Washington, D.C.—The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) selected CDM Smith as the sole provider for the 5-year, $93 million Hazard Mitigation Technical Assistance Program (HMTAP) Sector B contract. Under the new Sector B contract, CDM Smith will continue to support FEMA’s Policy, Tools and Training and Grants Data and Analytics Branches, the Division Management Office, the National Flood Insurance Program, Office of the Flood Insurance Advocate and Insurance and Mitigation Readiness Division. The Sector B contract covers FEMA Regions 2, 3, 8 and 10. CDM Smith will also continue to support WSP for the Sector A HMTAP contract.
The contract procures services that enhance FEMA’s capacity in meeting pre-disaster, disaster, and post-disaster mitigation and environmental responsibilities. The scope of the award includes non-architectural and non-engineering technical assistance, such as program application review, feasibility, research, analysis and document development services in support of FEMA’s pre-disaster, disaster, and post-disaster mitigation and environmental compliance requirements.

The indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract is CDM Smith’s fourth consecutive HMTAP award, continuing the team’s support that started in 2010. The award reflects FEMA’s trust in CDM Smith to support the continued evolution of the Hazard Mitigation Assistance Programs.
