“One of the most cherished traditions at the University of Connecticut is HuskyTHON, a completely student-run philanthropic effort to raise money for the Connecticut Children’s Hospital. The tradition touches all aspects of student life. CDM Smith has provided a great opportunity to be able to give back to such an important and personal cause,” said Dennison. “I don’t think I can fully process the impact this donation will have because of a T-shirt I designed. This is about giving back in a way that I never believed would be possible, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who supported my design.”
With a strong culture of giving back and uplifting those in need, hundreds of CDM Smith employees from around the world purchased T-shirts to contribute to the Connecticut Children’s Foundation’s mission and show their support for the firm’s award-winning internship program.
“The CDM Smith community exemplifies what it means to give back, something that is central to our culture. The care for collective success and a passion to find the solutions to get us there is the type of work that can serve as an inspiration to all of us, and I am especially thrilled to see how our efforts to give back at CDM Smith are embraced by our interns and employees around the globe,” said Carlos Echalar, Chief Human Resources Officer.
Jack Dennison is currently studying Geographic Information Systems and Applied Data Analysis at the University of Connecticut. In addition to his work supporting the Children’s Foundation, Jack spent his summer internship working on crucial safe water efforts and world-class geographical projects while growing his professional network. We are excited to see how he and his fellow class of 2024 summer interns continue to shape and innovate the field!
