CDM Smith Donates $50,000 as Part of its Employee Wellness Program  

BOSTON-- CDM Smith donated another $50,000 to three charities as part of the firm’s award-winning Wellness Program. $25,000 was donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, $12,500 was donated to the Franklin, Mass­a­chu­setts St. Mary’s Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society St. Vincent de Paul Society and $12,500 was donated to the Franklin, Mass­a­chu­setts Food Pantry. 

This round of the firm’s direct donations was made possible by the points earned by employee partic­i­pants during the third quarter of 2022 through programs and activities that support the importance of both physical and mental well-being. Since the Wellness Program’s start in 2017, employee partic­i­pa­tion has resulted in more than $1 million in charitable donations. 

Here’s how the donations are making an impact...

The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) is the world’s leading philanthropic organization dedicated to the research and eradication of prostate cancer. PCF’s vision is to end all deaths from prostate cancer by raising awareness and funding urgent, cutting-edge research. CDM Smith employees’ contribution of $25,000 will help fund this research on prevention, detection and treatment.  

The St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVdP) is a volunteer, Catholic organization with a Conference at St. Mary’s Parish in Franklin, Massachusetts. The organization’s mission is to help neighbors in need in the community, regardless of religious affiliation. SVdP provides things like housing assistance, medical expense support and meals and groceries. CDM Smith’s $12,500 donation will help individuals and families in need in the Franklin area.  

The Franklin, Massachusetts Food Pantry’s mission is to alleviate food insecurity and compassionately empower its community. The organization offers supplemental food assistance and household necessities to almost 1,100 individuals per year. CDM Smith’s $12,500 donation will help fund a transformational new building project that will improve accessibility and increase resources for the community.
