Ulrich Lange
Dr Ulrich Lange is not only our Branch Manager in Bochum, Germany, but also your expert for solid solutions on unstable ground. With his extensive expertise, he supports our colleagues throughout national and international tendering and bidding processes. His current focus lies in strategically sharpening our service profile in ground freezing and mining, including remediation of legacy sites. Furthermore, Ulrich Lange drives the expansion and strengthening of our professional network in these areas.
The mining engineer particularly values the unique challenges that come with ground freezing. In situations where other sealing and stabilisation methods used in specialist foundation engineering are not feasible, ground freezing often provides a viable construction solution. One key asset in this field is our in-house freezing laboratory in Bochum, which receives soil samples from project sites around the world for testing.
CDM Smith’s guiding principle “listen. think. deliver.” reflects Ulrich Lange’s commitment to quality in just three words: “It starts with listening to and understanding our clients. Then we develop tailored solutions – and deliver them with consistently excellent quality.”
His personal motto? Leading by example. For him, that means: “I cannot expect anything from others that I’m not willing to do myself.”
