Georg Breitsprecher
Civil engineer Georg Breitsprecher is a branch manager and head of infrastructure and geotechnical engineering at CDM Smith in Berlin. With nearly 23 years’ professional experience, Georg Breitsprecher is an expert in ground improvement and excavation in general and a specialist engineering applications. He has planned and supervised numerous excavations, underpinnings, ground improvement and injection projects including construction projects such as the U5 underground line in Berlin, the cable tunnel ‘Kabeldiagonale Berlin’ and the highway A 20 in northern Germany in his role as an assessor, planner and consultant.

What is your favorite part of your job? The consultations with our customers.
Which project do you particularly remember well and why? The U5 underground line construction project in Berlin, where my expert advice in meetings with numerous stakeholders at up to board level was especially in demand.
