CDM Smith serves as the general contractor and coordinates all disciplines from preliminary investigations to the transfer (Due Diligence) of the prepared site. We take on historical research for the brownfield site, and conduct environmental and soil investigations as to whether the property is suitable for commercial, industrial or residential use. Based on the soil conditions determined, we will recommend one or more foundation options and coordinate the necessary environmental actions with the competent authorities. We will also perform all demolition services and dispose of the existing building debris including remediation of any contaminated materials if required.
