Groundwater is an essential resource for the environment, society, and the economy. It is not only used for drinking water supply but also plays a key role in industry and construction, for example as process or cooling water. In construction, temporary lowering of the groundwater level is often necessary. Ideally, the extracted water is re-infiltrated close to the withdrawal point. Discharge into surface waters or the sewage system is permitted solely under exceptional circumstances, provided that all relevant quality standards are rigorously observed. If these standards are not met, advanced treatment methods must be applied, such as filtration, iron and manganese removal, activated carbon adsorption, or sedimentation.
Remediation measures are also required in cases of contaminated sites or land redevelopment. Traditional pump & treat methods or innovative in-situ techniques help remove pollutants or prevent their spread. The choice of the appropriate method depends on site-specific conditions and project objectives.
Our experts support you from analysis and planning through to implementation. With many years of experience, advanced modelling techniques, and a clear focus on sustainability and cost-efficiency, we are your ideal partner for successful project execution.
