Sara Gamaleldin Joins CDM Smith as a Senior Project Manager

CHICAGO— Sara Gamaleldin, PE joins CDM Smith as a senior project manager. She brings 17 years of experience leading water and wastewater projects and programs. In her new role, Gamaleldin will oversee key water projects to support the firm's clients in the Midwest, such as the Fox River Water Reclamation District in Illinois, the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the city of Evanston, Illinois.  

Prior to joining CDM Smith, Gamaleldin served as a resident-engineer for the city of Lichfield, Illinois and oversaw the construction of the city’s membrane filtration facility. She was also part of the Great Water Alliance Utility Program engineering team to bring Lake Michigan water to Waukesha, Wisconsin. 

Sara will lead critical projects and support business development efforts in the greater Chicagoland area.

Gamaleldin has a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Iowa. She is a member of the Illinois Section American Water Works Association and was a chair for the association’s Women in Water conference from 2022 to 2024.
