Mike Morgan, PE
Mike Morgan is CDM Smith’s climate resilience discipline leader for stormwater. Mike brings over 30 years of professional experience in hydrology, hydraulics, infrastructure planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder assessment.
Mike has extensive experience in stormwater management and wastewater planning projects. He has managed and led stormwater master planning and flood resilience projects in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, coastal Louisiana, Texas, and the Pacific Northwest.
Mike’s leadership on the stormwater management master plan for Virginia Beach provided the basis for the city’s stormwater strategy. As the project manager, Mike oversaw the development of 31 local watershed models, using advanced stormwater modeling techniques and identified solutions for areas facing chronic flooding that integrate resiliency measures, such as sea-level rise adaptation and water quality modeling.
Mike’s ability to bridge complex technical work with real-world impact continues to elevate how the climate resilience team navigates the evolving challenges of climate change and urban resilience.

My goal is to connect the dots between deep technical work and real-world, tangible climate impacts.
