Associate, Process and Controls Manager
Eric Pear is a Regional Team Leader and Manager of the Process and Controls Engineering teams, bringing over 20 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams across all phases of industrial and utility projects. His comprehensive experience spans piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), draft loss calculations, equipment sizing, cabinet design and more. Eric has also directed numerous energy initiatives, including projects focused on distributed generation, energy resilience, diesel and natural gas generators, cogeneration systems, demand response curtailment and emissions control.
A recognized thought leader, Eric presents his insights on advancing energy solutions at various local and national conferences. He is particularly proud of his role in the innovative Brightloop Hydrogen NG2H project, which utilizes chemical looping to generate hydrogen gas. This project represents both the industry's commitment to non-carbon fuels and CDM Smith's pivotal role in its development.
