Dwain Tucker, PE
Discipline Leader – Water Reclamation, West
Dwain Tucker offers nearly 40 years of extensive experience in his field. He is an analytical employee with proficiency in optimizing operations, directing and consulting on designs and construction management for simultaneous large-scale projects. His technical innovation and skill at generating compelling proposals, reports and presentations is an asset for our firm.
"I enjoy solving problems and producing creative solutions rather than copying previous work by others,” Dwain says. “Ingenuity, resourcefulness, ethical behavior and strong work ethic inspire me.”
A highlight in Dwain’s career thus far is the five-year Joint Water Pollution Control Plant Full Secondary project he completed in California. With his expertise as the lead engineer, the plant became the second largest plant in the United States. Alongside this inspiring work at CDM Smith, Dwain also participates in the Water Environment Federation and California Water Environment Assocation, and Chi Epsilon, the National Civil Engineering Academic Honorary Society.
“I chose CDM Smith because I liked the focus on ethics and quality control mechanisms to produce excellence. The company’s longevity, successful track record and size also meant I would get a chance to work on the biggest projects in engineering,” he says.

Ingenuity, resourcefulness, ethical behavior and strong work ethic inspire me.
