Jennifer Osgood Named IUVA President-Elect

CHEVY CHASE, Maryland – CDM Smith is pleased to announce that Jennifer Osgood, PE, PMP, BCEE, Associate, has been named incoming president of the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA). Osgood was elected by the Board of Directors of IUVA, served as secretary for the past two years, and will officially take office as president in 2021.

Over the course of her 20-year career at CDM Smith, Osgood has been involved in various water treatment and UV disinfection projects both in the United States and internationally. She says witnessing the advancements in UV technology for drinking water applications and consulting with regulators, manufacturers and communities as they embrace new technology has been particularly rewarding and effective in enhancing the public’s health. 

“The IUVA continues to achieve its mission of advancing the sciences, engineering and applications of ultraviolet technologies to enhance the quality of life and protect the environment,” says Osgood. “As president, I’m looking forward to advancing these efforts, as well as working to increase membership, boost outreach through technical and educational programs, and generate more young professional interest to help drive success.”
