CDM Smith Grows Trans­porta­tion Team with CEI Hires

BOSTON, Mass­a­chu­setts—CDM Smith is proud to announce that our trans­porta­tion team is continuing to grow with the addition of four construc­tion engineering inspection (CEI) experts: Cory Brown, Patricia Gambill, Ghassan Suwaid and Quintin Rozycki. With more than 80 years of combined experience, these experts will expand CDM Smith’s ability to provide clients throughout the southeast with best-in-class CEI services to help them build roads, bridges and other trans­porta­tion infra­struc­ture on schedule and budget, in compliance with all require­ments and according to design spec­i­fi­ca­tions. “Our transportation team is very excited Cory, Patti, Gus and Quinn have joined the firm. We are happy to expand our CEI capabilities for our valued clients and hope to provide many new opportunities for CDM Smith going forward,” expressed director of CDM Smith’s transportation CEI services, Virgil Rook.


Cory Brown, PE, has joined CDM Smith's South Carolina CEI group, bringing more than two decades of experience 
Cory Brownin structural design, project engineering, project management and construc­tion engineering and management. Special­iz­ing in structural design and project coor­di­na­tion on projects of all types and sizes, Brown is experienced in delivering solutions for local munic­i­pal­i­ties and contribut­ing to large urban devel­op­ments, including Qatar's recently completed Lusail Expressway Project. “I look forward in being a vital part of delivering quality trans­porta­tion infra­struc­ture for CDM Smith,” said Brown.

Patricia GambillPatricia Gambill, PE, CPM, has joined CDM Smith’s Columbia, South Carolina office. Gambill is experienced in critical path method scheduling, quality assurance of construc­tion materials, program management, and pavement design. Prior to CDM Smith, she spent nearly three decades with the South Carolina Department of Trans­porta­tion in the construc­tion division. Gambill is looking forward to applying the experience she gained there to a multitude of different areas: “I look forward to partic­i­pat­ing in all aspects of project delivery aimed at improving our trans­porta­tion systems,” said Gambill. 

Ghassan SuwaidWith three decades of experience in orga­ni­za­tional and project admin­is­tra­tion with the West Virginia Department of Trans­porta­tion, civil engineer Ghassan Suwaid brings a wealth of knowledge in operational management, strategic planning and budgeting, quality assurance and inspection and contract admin­is­tra­tion in design-build, design-bid-build and public-private-partnership projects. “Infra­struc­ture is a key element in any economic growth process. Enhancing the economy and maintaining proper infra­struc­ture go together,” said Suwaid, who will be based in CDM Smith’s Charleston, West Virginia office. “I hope to use my experience from the public sector to streamline the projects that CDM Smith is undertaking.”

Quintin RozyckiProject admin­is­tra­tor and engineer-in-training Quintin Rozycki has five years of experience in trans­porta­tion construc­tion engineering and project management for public and private agencies at local, regional and state levels. Rozycki is a skilled project planner with experience imple­ment­ing and executing projects, including key scheduling and budgeting tasks. “I’m excited to see CDM Smith expand its CEI capa­bil­i­ties,” said Rozycki, who is based in Jack­sonville, Florida. “I look forward to being a part of that growth.”
