CDM Smith’s Bellevue Research and Testing Laboratory Expands In-House Capa­bil­i­ties

BELLEVUE, Washington—CDM Smith is pleased to announce that its Research and Testing Laboratory in Bellevue, Washington has received new advanced testing equipment to further expand its in-house research and testing capa­bil­i­ties. With these additions, CDM Smith will have greater capacity to develop innovative solutions in the water purifi­ca­tion realm by providing design support for advanced oxidation processes, and combining disin­fec­tion techniques to treat emerging cont­a­m­i­nants such as 1,4-dioxane, perflu­o­roalkyl and poly­flu­o­roalkyl substances (PFAS) and more.

The laboratory has recently procured a new ultraviolet system with batch and flow-through capa­bil­i­ties, ozone generator, and ion chro­matog­ra­phy equipment. The new equipment will help support treata­bil­ity testing and char­ac­ter­i­za­tion of water, as well as research and technology development initiatives within the envi­ron­men­tal, water and wastewater markets.

The equipment upgrades are backed by CDM Smith’s research and development program.
