3 September 2019
Marcus Brown and Alicia Liu have been successful in their applications to join UDIA QLD Policy Committees.

We are pleased to announce that Marcus Brown and Alicia Liu have been successful in their appointments to UDIA Queenland's (QLD) Policy Committees. The UDIA QLD committees ensure that they are in touch with their members and the needs of the broader community. The Institute has an extensive and consultative structure of committees to provide feedback and advice on a range of issues impacting on the industry.

Marcus Brown - Principal Economist - Successfully appointed to the Housing Supply and Affordability Committee

Diverse and affordable housing choices are critical to building better communities - increasing flexibility for development of additional housing types, streamlining arrangements and improvement to land supply and detailed code provisions are a priority.

Alicia Liu - Project Economist - Successfully appointed to the Seniors Living and Residential Care Committee

The Seniors Living and Residential Care Committee aims to enable the development industry to meet the diverse housing needs of seniors and those in need of medical care, to provide the widest range of benefits. Alicia has been appointed as the young professional representative.

These appointments are in recognition of their technical and policy development leadership and also recognition of an emerging professional in the case of Alicia's appointment as the young professional representative. Congratulations Marcus and Alicia.

I look forward to CDM Smith making a meaningful contribution to the formulation of policy positions within the development industry in relation to housing diversity, affordability, seniors living and residential care.
Marcus Brown Principal Economist
As a young professional, I have always had an interest in health and ageing issues. I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to shape the development industry’s approach to such an important and policy relevant sector.
