Dr Andrew Knight
Andrew is an experienced hydrogeologist focusing on contaminated land, with a thorough understanding of groundwater modelling and assessing contamination in groundwater, soil, and soil vapour. In 2020, he completed his PhD in hydrogeology and has a passion for numerical groundwater models and their development. Previously, Andrew worked as a geologist within the mining industry, giving him additional insights into the environmental challenges and risks within the sector.
He has worked on projects involving wastewater treatment plants, landfills, gas works, former industrial precincts, groundwater impact assessments for commercial supply and environmental impact assessment models.
Andrew has experience in various analytical and numerical modelling methods, including contaminant fate and transport. He has a deep understanding of the MODFLOW modelling code and is familiar with FeFlow. Andrew’s analytical modelling experience includes the BIOSCREEN and HELP (Hydrologic Evaluation of Landfill Performance) models.

“I am passionate about understanding how systems work and translating this knowledge into targeted deliverables in line with project-specific requirements.”
