The Lusail Expressway is a major urban transport corridor connecting Doha’s West Bay, The Pearl and Lusail City, designed to support long-term growth and high-capacity mobility. We provided construction supervision and technical oversight for this complex, multi-package project delivered within a dense, live urban environment. Works included bridges, tunnels, interchanges, utility corridors, canals and micro-tunnelling, requiring careful staging to maintain traffic flow and protect existing infrastructure. A defining element of the project is the Al Wahda Interchange, home to the country’s tallest monument—twin steel arches formed from 54 prefabricated steel components weighing more than 9,000 tons. The larger arch spans 146.52 meters and reaches 98.79 meters in height, while the smaller spans 139.84 meters and rises 77.56 meters. We supported quality assurance, safety, constructability reviews and coordination across international designers, fabricators and contractors, ensuring successful delivery of this landmark structure alongside the broader expressway works.
