Under Qatar’s LRDP, Ashghal appointed CDM Smith in 2019 as the GEC for Doha west, with authority to supervise additional projects nationwide. The GEC role spans construction supervision of internal roads, lighting, ITS, landscaping, foul and surface water drainage, TSE systems, micro-tunnelling, and wider utilities. Our responsibilities include engineering oversight, contract administration, project controls, stakeholder engagement, quality management, HSE compliance, commercial management and closeout duties. Multiple packages—DW044 (02, 03, 06), DN110 (02) and QN005 (01)—are currently under supervision. A 128-member team delivers consistent governance and coordinated site management to ensure that all works meet Ashghal’s technical specifications, QCS 2014 standards and strategic LRDP objectives.
