CDM Smith provided integrated infrastructure design and construction supervision services for Jumeirah Golf Estates Phase A, supporting new residential plots within a large, active master-planned community. The team evaluated existing utility networks, developed master plans and strategies and designed upgrades to water, sewerage, power, irrigation, roads and telecommunications. Close coordination with stakeholders and authorities ensured constructability, regulatory compliance and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
CDM Smith developed coordinated master plans and utility strategies covering water, sewerage, power, irrigation, telecommunications, firefighting and roads, ensuring new Phase A developments were fully supported by resilient and efficient infrastructure systems.
The project included evaluation and upgrading of existing networks to meet future demand, including MV and LV power, 11kV substations, vacuum sewer systems, irrigation distribution, street lighting and telecom networks across multiple residential precincts.
We conducted flooding mitigation analysis, utility relocation planning and risk assessments for critical corridors, while preparing submissions and approvals to local authorities, ensuring compliance and reducing delivery risk for new developments.
Value engineering and sustainability solutions were embedded throughout the design process, improving efficiency, reducing lifecycle costs and supporting reliable service delivery across villas, townhouses, offices, parks and community facilities.
Jumeirah Golf Estates is a large-scale luxury residential golf community in Dubai, delivered across four themed phases—Fire, Earth, Water and Air. For Phase A, CDM Smith provided infrastructure design and construction supervision services to support new residential plots and mixed-use developments within the established community. The scope included infrastructure connections from primary utility networks, updates to existing master plans, and design of water, sewerage, irrigation, power, telecommunications, roads, firefighting and signage systems. We also delivered traffic impact studies, flooding mitigation analysis and utility relocation designs, ensuring safe and efficient integration of new developments such as Al Andalus, Redwood townhouses, offices and community facilities. Through close collaboration with client representatives and local authorities, we addressed technical challenges, regulatory requirements and future capacity needs, delivering practical, coordinated infrastructure solutions that support long-term growth and operational reliability across Phase A.
