On 15th April CDM Smith Ireland joined Geoscience Ireland, a network of 39 companies, delivering integrated expertise in water, minerals, environmental and infrastructure development to clients in Ireland and over 50 countries from Ireland. Supported by the Government of Ireland, Geoscience Ireland is a collaborative network between State bodies (Geological Survey Ireland and Enterprise Ireland), the private sector and research groups.
CDM Smith’s experience in mine remediation, groundwater and ground engineering is a great fit for the GI network and we look forward to working closely with them in accessing commercial projects that align well with GI’s strategy
Koen Verbruggen, Director of Geological Survey Ireland

CDM Smith has been operating in Ireland since 2001 and provides support to government agencies, industry, institutions and research groups for the development and implementation of sound engineering and environmentally protective processes to protect water resources and the natural environment.

Our specialists based in Dublin are primarily engaged with existing projects in Ireland but continue to be involved with a number of overseas projects. Part of the CDM Smith’s strategy is to build on its Irish base to develop projects in further markets. CDM Smith looks forward to working with Geoscience Ireland and the companies in the network to develop project opportunities in the geoscience sector and to help grow this important market sector.
