CDM Smith will provide civil engineering and civil works, including permitting according to the “Planfeststellungsverfahren” (plan approval procedure), execution planning, and the building and supervision of all civil structures on the site.
The permitting phase began in October 2022. After the execution planning and securing building permits, CDM Smith will start with the mobilization of the site, preparatory groundworks and site development. Civil work for this project includes foundations for the battery cubes; inverters and transformers; operational building; and associated water infrastructure, such as cable canals, streets and landscaping.
