Dr Susanne Pitschak

Graduate industrial engineer Susanne Pitschak with a Ph.D. in engineering looks back at over 34 years of profes­sional experience as project engineer and project manager at CDM Smith.

During her impressive career she worked on and lead over 100 successful projects. For her disser­ta­tion on the application limits for fluidized bed ashes in road construc­tion she received the BVK advancement award as an outstanding appraisal of her excellent work. 

Her achieve­ments in connection with the new construc­tion of the autobahn A26 are partic­u­larly remarkable. In this project, she managed the planning of ground improvement measures, including the overfill method and the method with elevated foundation pads. Her project management of the planning approval procedure for the land cable route BalWin 1 & 2 was also of great signif­i­cance.
