Now that the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) are official and the clock has started, utilities have several things to do before October 2024. Join us for the first part of a two part series on a phased approach for LCRR compliance. This first presentation will focus on tasks to complete in 2022 including developing an inventory and evaluating current corrosion control treatment. We will discuss steps to prepare a service line inventory, including compiling data sources, what information is important to include, pros and cons of various material verification methods, use of technology and machine learning and options for hosting the inventory online. We will also review how to evaluate if your utility will meet the new trigger level with the revised sampling requirements and where to start if you need to make changes.
