NASHVILLE—CDM Smith is pleased to announce that vice president and delivery leader Jennifer Osgood, PE, PMP, BCEE has been named president of the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA). The IUVA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of ultraviolet (UV) technologies for use in the protection of public health and the environment.

Osgood’s service to IUVA is extensive, including serving as president-elect from 2019-2021, secretary from 2017-2019, executive operating committee member from 2017-present, and board member from 2013-present. Over the years, she’s served on various committees for the organization, including the conference planning committee, education committee, nominating committee and the UV as a Green Technology Strategic Initiatives team.

“The IUVA has gained an important international reputation for technical collaboration, and I am honored to help lead these efforts," says Osgood. "Since the onset of the coronavirus, IUVA volunteer members worldwide have played a vital role in demonstrating the efficacy of UV technologies. This has led to substantial growth in our organization as we continue to expand our efforts in UV applications that include drinking water, wastewater and water reuse, as well as medical settings, food and beverage, industrial, and indoor air and surfaces."

The IUVA will certainly benefit from Jennifer’s leadership and collaborative skills, her tireless commitment to the IUVA and her extensive experience as a top-notch designer of drinking water UV systems.
