CDM Smith Scholarship Program

To inspire the next generation of industry innovators, CDM Smith offers schol­ar­ships in partnership with Scholarship America to assist college students pursuing an eligible STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) degree as well as students in eligible under­grad­u­ate programs at accredited two-year colleges or vocational-technical schools. CDM Smith also partners with Envi­ron­men­tal Engineers of the Future (E2F) to offer schol­ar­ships for individuals pursuing master's degrees in envi­ron­men­tal engineering. 

STEM Schol­ar­ships
Eight $7,500 schol­ar­ships awarded annually. Four Merit based awards, two Diversity awards (members of histor­i­cally margin­al­ized communities and women) and two Economic awards (individuals facing hardships that might impact their STEM education) are offered. 

  • Eligibility Criteria: Enrolled in or entering an eligible STEM under­grad­u­ate or graduate program (engineering programs must be ABET-accredited) with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent). 

Vocational-Technical Schol­ar­ships
Two $5,000 schol­ar­ships awarded annually. Recipients are selected on the basis of leadership, community involvement, work experience, career goals, unusual personal/family circum­stances and/or faculty recom­men­da­tions. 

  • Eligibility Criteria: Enrolled in or entering an eligible under­grad­u­ate program in Electrical, Automation, Instru­men­ta­tion and Controls, Cyber­se­cu­rity or related major with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent). Must reside or attend school in California, Colorado, Florida or Texas. 

E2F Schol­ar­ships
Up to $10,000 may be awarded to students pursuing a master's degree in envi­ron­men­tal engineering. Selection criteria include GPA, related coursework, work experience and other qual­i­fi­ca­tions. 

  • Eligibility Criteria: Completed an under­grad­u­ate, ABET-accredited engineering program, enrolled in or entering a master's of science degree program at an E2F approved university (online programs not eligible), committed to taking identified core and elective courses and committed to working for an E2F sponsor company for a minimum of two years following graduation.
